One Winter Evening [Christmas Special Part 5]

Once we got everything worked out between Ash and Red, we looked for where we had gone through the tunnel. I was still a little scared that Ash would be a little depressed about what had happened. He definitely had the same look on his face from earlier... 


So we finally found our way out and made to the surface.
"Finally! Fresh air!" May screamed
"Wow... I can't believe all this time I could have walked through a freaking tunnel to get out." Red mumbled
"Well that was pretty much stupid on your part..." Paul said
"Paul! Shut up!" Dawn yelled
"Okay..." 
"Wow, that's the fastest I've ever seen him shut up..."  Blue whispered to May
"I know right!?" 

Ash and I were silent. He kept glancing at me then looking away, like he was trying to tell me something. But nothing was coming out...
I finally snapped...
"Ash, can you and I talk for a sec?" 
"Uh... Okay..." I murmured 
I took him to the wooded area.
"Ash, are you okay? You've been acting this way all day..."
"Uh... Yeah... Why would you say that?" 
"Because you're not talking and it looks like you're stressed about something." 
"Misty, I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me." he said with a stern voice
He walked away leaving me behind. There was definitely something wrong with him, he's never... EVER... Used that voice he used with me right now. He had a stern... Mean voice.
So anyways, we got to the resort and had Red stay in the boys' room. I was still overwhelmed about what had happened. You know, about the ice cave and Ash, but I stayed silent for the rest of the day. 
"Hey, have any of you guys noticed how silent Ash has been?"  Blue asked
"I have... Usually he talks a lot." Dawn said
"Yeah... He's just not himself today... I guess." I added

"Hey! Have you also noticed how well Paul listens to Dawn?"
"OMG! Yes! It's actually kinda cute!"
"WHAT!? How about you and Drew?" Dawn yelled
"Oh... I didn't tell you guys." May mumbled, "Drew and I are together..." 
"Well, that wasn't shocking at all..." 
"I know... We all knew this was going to happen!" Dawn yelled
"What a way to ruin the surprise..."





"Hey girls! So did you hear about the big Christmas dance party coming up this Friday?" Gary said while walking in
"I have! I heard it gets better every year!" Dawn yelled
 "Yeah! I came to ask if you would go with me, Blue." he said
"Like... As a d-date!?" Blue asked
"Heh... Yeah, I guess." 
"Of course!" 
"Hey..." Drew said as he came in
"Drew!!" 


"You're coming to the dance party thingy with me right?"
"Of course!" 
"So since that couple is done with, Blue... Make me a happy guy and be my girlfriend." Gary said with his confidant voice  
"Is that how you ask out girls? That's kinda cheap... But I like it." 


"Good..."
He glanced at me and gave me a smile, I glanced back and gave him a finger. Who wouldn't!? He's a player! So he brought me over to the other side of the room to talk to me.
"Nice way to say congrats..." he said
"Gary! You ask me out then ask Blue!? Are you kidding!?"
"Misty... You should be happy I'm doing this. I've always liked Blue, and I wouldn't change her for the world. Besides, I'm doing this for a friend..."
"So your using her?" 
"What!? I never said that! Look, I liked Blue when I first laid my eyes on her. She's beautiful, smart, and her name is my favorite color. I just thought that I'd never get a chance at her... That's why I asked you out."
"Oh... Well sorry about that then! Wait... What friend are you doing this for?" 
"You'll find out." he responded while winking at me
