~Wanting a Clear Explanation~

*Beep... Beep... Beep-*

It sounded faint, more like a small cricket in the bushes many feet away. But wait - it didn't sound like that - maybe more robotic than a small creature. Unclear of the situation, he tried his best to peel open his auburn eyes. Hmm? That again? The 13 year-old's arms rested on his abdomen, and his legs shuffled in his slumber. He was sweating, not too much, but enough to make it visible.
*-Beep. Beep. Beep-*
A little louder this time, making it clear that this sound was not even a couple feet away. Fear took it's place in the young boy's mind, making his whole body shuffle in his uncomfortable sleep. His hand was now rested on his now sweating forehead, and his legs were fighting with the blankets in his bed. This is just another nightmare, right?
*-beep...beep...beep-"
It started fading, now 15 feet away, 16, 17, until you could hear feeble whispers in the backdrop. Fear had now fully taken it's place in the suffering boy's body. One of his hands were unconsciously wiping the beads of sweat off of his forehead, while the other was tightly grasping onto his black shirt. His legs were now violently kicking at the blankets; slowly tugging it away from his upper body. His mind focused on the voices, they sounded like they were right next to him, yet they were so tranquil. They sound somewhat... familiar. He flinched at the
vocalization of these unknown figures he kept hearing. They sounded apprehensive, anxious, and thrilled. This scared him for some reason. But why wouldn't it?
The voices started to get a little louder at some point, just until his minds took over...
"AHHH!" he fell to the ground followed by a big thump. His heart was racing, his hand were shaking, and his face was pale white. Anxiety had been put into his body and he was damn right shaken up. The voices snapped right out of his head when his eyes shot open, and Ash Ketchum definitely wasn't looking forward to going back to sleep later...
"Ash?" A voice spoke up just as footsteps started racing to the room that Ash had uneasily slept in. The door swung open and a young teenager came rushing in to help her fallen friend. Although his mind was in the state of confusion, he recognized the girl when his eyes fixed on her profile. She had an indescribable shade of purple hair with maroon colored eyes, a light pink and tan dress with loose sleeves, and white nylons with a pink trim. Wow, did she like pink -at least that's what Ash thought.
"I'm okay, Iris," He stuttered, "I just had a weird dream."
"You've been doing that for WEEKS! Something else has to be wrong!" she snapped as she helped him up.
He flinched. He didn't have an explanation for all of this. The young 13 year-old was actually pretty confused... The last time he had heard these sounds was the very second day he became a trainer, but this, this was worse. The voices were more clear, and the beeping sounds were scarier than ever. Being the dense idiot that he is, he couldn't put his finger on it.
"Seriously, I'm fine." he muttered to his worried friend. Ash had never been so confused in his life. Of course he had become confused about something in the past, but never like this. One of the things he didn't understand was his father's disappearance. When Ash was younger, his father had left to become a Pokemon Master, just as Ash had when he became ten. Although he knows his father is gone for that reason, he couldn't help but to question why he hasn't come back. There are many other confusing situations in his existence, but nothing compared to his weird dreams that had been going on for a MONTH. This was something that had gotten so disturbing, that he actually started considering telling someone. And he usually never tells ANYONE about his problems. The only person he had told about his troubled life was his best and closest companion. Misty.
She was a scrawny red-head that could not and would not shut up. She was stubborn and irritating, but had a good side to her. Misty had beautiful oceanic blue eyes that accented her fiery red/orange hair. Her hair would always be hung up in her signature ponytail, but Ash liked it when she had it down. But of course he wouldn't admit that. In fact, Ash didn't really understand his relationship with Misty. In his brain, Misty was just a stupid red-head that annoyed the heck out of him, but in his heart, it says something different. Yet another thing that confused him...

Getting to his feet, he walked with his friend down the hall of the Pokemon Center and into the main lobby. He was still a little shaky from the morning scare, but everything flew out of his system when he smelled the gourmet food that Cilan -another one of Ash's travelling partners- elegantly prepared for Ash and Iris. The aroma of pancakes filled the air of the center, leaving all of the hungry guests and trainers gaze in lust. Ash looked down upon his plate, letting himself take in all of the scent. His fingers hovered over the fork. Slowly touching the tip of the fork, he flipped it up and sliced through pancake. In less than a couple minutes, he had fully devoured all three pancakes that had rested on his plate. Ash was never the person to waste food...

"Dang, Ash! Slow down..." Iris said as she pushed him.
"Well, I was hungry!" He shouted back in defense.
"You're ALWAYS hungry! Ugh, such a kid!" She yelled back while rolling her eyes.
"...whatever."
Getting up, he grabbed his hat and strut outside. He took in the fresh morning air and spread his arms out, taking in all of the beauty. Ahh... Nothing but trees and Pokemon! So pretty! he said to himself.
"Pika!" a loud, high-pitched squeak came from behind; soon to land on top of his shoulder. Ash turned his head to see his one-and-only companion. The yellow mouse hopped on his shoulder and gave him a friendly smile. Ash returned it back - as usual.

"So guys, where are we headed?" Ash's voice sounded as excited as every other day. His voice wasn't as high-pitched as before, but he still sounded like the kid he has always been.
"We're headed to the White Ruins, stupid." Iris mumbled harshly, making Ash roll his eyes. The two teens bickered frequently, so this wasn't too surprising.
______________

"Is he waking up?"
"I don't really know, but today might be the day."
"Do you think you should call his mother?"
"Hmm... We should wait."

What the hell? Was he daydreaming or something? Not only was he hearing these noises in his sleep, but now he was hearing them when he was awake?! Something was going on, but still, he couldn't put his finger on it. It was too peculiar. As hours passed, they all had their normal day as trainers: Battling, eating, talking, and resting...

...But today...

Today was different. Ash wasn't really himself the whole day. He has always been so confident and head-strong. Right now, something was definitely wrong with him. Iris noticed this and took it lightly, while Cilan took it a little seriously...
"Ash, would you mind telling what what's the matter? You've been acting strange all day..." Cilan said, giving Iris the courage to speak up as well.
"Yeah, Ash. At least tell us what's wrong."
Ash stood there silent. What could he say? ...
"I... I -- uh... I don't know." Ash answered.
"Give it up, Ash. We know there's something wrong with you..." Iris sternly looked, making Ash sigh.
"I've... I've been hearing voices... like... in my head." He admitted.
Both of them stood silent just as Ash did when they asked him.
"So you're.... schizophrenic?!" Iris blurted out, making Cilan sweat-drop.
... *facepalm*

Who Forgets You?

It all started when I fished him out of the lake... he was the most annoying person I ever met...But... that was when we first saw each other. His Pikachu was hurt and my big mouth and I told him to go to the Pokemon Center. So... he stole my bike and wrecked it on his way to the Pokemon Center. Hah! I hated him for that. But that's not why I started following him around...  Well one thing led to another and we became good friends... some people say that we were so close that we were inseparable... I liked it when they said that... I liked Ash for SO LONG.I just couldn't find the right words...  There were some awkward moments between us... and there were some moments that I never regretted. But there came a day when my sisters had tickets for a trip around the world.. that day changed my life forever.... I HAD TO TAKE CARE OF THE GYM FOR THEM... I felt like crying at that moment..."I'll never see Ash again... I'll never see Ash again..." I kept repeating in my head. That day I wanted to tell him my feelings SO BAD! But I couldn't...So Ash and I went our separate ways... It was only gonna be for a while right? Just until they come back from their trip. But Ash and I were wrong. I had to stay at the gym for most of my life as the new Gym Leader. Horray...Almost a year had past since I had saw Ash... I was much more grown and mature. And most importantly... It was Valentines Day....I found out last minute that he was coming back to Kanto, so I got all my stuff ready and prepared myself to finally tell him. I opened up an empty Pokeball and put chocolates inside with a note on the top, then finalized it by putting a bow on it... I was finally ready...I came up to his front door with my prettiest clothes on. I suddenly stopped...Something didn't feel right. People don't usually come to his house? Do they? I started to panic... I looked in the window... and my suspicions were confirmed. He came back to Kanto with another girl...   She was a blunette with a beanie on... she had on a short skirt and a black top. He forgot about me... the girl's Piplup looked at me causing Ash to turn around. Ash looked at me in shock causing him to run to the door. "Misty what are you doing here?" He asked me as the girl looked at me in jealousy.Tears started pouring down my face... my heart was ripping apart piece by piece. He tried wiping my tears from my face but I slapped his hand away and shoved the chocolate filled Pokeball into his chest. I started running towards the gym as he shouted my name over and over again. When I got into my room I felt like my heart was ripped out. Instead of crying... i tried to take it off my mind... but I couldn't... I then opened my journal and wrote:"What if the one that broke your heart is the only one that can fix it?"Ugh... another question to be answered... I already had so many questions in my mind. Why her? Why now? Why Ash out of all the guys in the world? I was just so confused...But she was perfect for him. Prettier and a better trainer... I was nothing to Ash anymore... A couple months passed and I had some things to take care of in Unova. I've never really been there. But I've heard many things about it...I knew that Ash and the Blunette girl were having a long distance relationship since she lives in Sinnoh. So I wasn't surprised if Ash got new friends that replaced me like he did with May.  When I into the plane I was surprised to see that the Blunette was on the plane. I sat in the seat before her but I saw her beanie and long Blunette hair. I knew it was her because she walked past me in the plane. She gave me a glare like she had recognized me from before... but I don't think she did from what I saw. I heard her talking to a guy in the seat next to her. He had a kinda scary voice. Like he was mad... But you can tell they were flirting... When the plane landed, I quickly jumped from my seat. I looked at the person sitting next to her.He had purplish grey hair with a scary expression on his face when he realized I was looking at him. I quickly looked away and got off the plane. When everyone got off... I realized the truth..She was cheating... I repeated it in my head till I got to the nearest Pokemon Center."Welcome to the Pokemon Center!" said Nurse Joy."Do your Pokemon need a check up?" she asked."No.. but I need to find the person that makes the Cerulean Gym badges. I heard he lives here."As Nurse Joy began to explain, I started to focus on something else... there was someone staring at me... I started getting nervous and saw a boy at the corner of my eye with two other people. He was just staring at me... "Is that all you wanted?" Nurse Joy asked me."Y-Yes.. uh.. c-can you let me stay here to-tonight?" I said as the boy approached me."Of course!" she shouted.I quickly walked away trying to get away from this boy. But he didn't come toward me again...I didn't look at him at all... but he was asking about me to Nurse Joy." Hey Nurse Joy...  Who is that girl?" he asked"I don't know.. I think she is a Gym Leader though..."I was officially freaked out enough to turn around. And to my surprise, it was Ash. "Ash?!" I shouted as I ran up to him.His friends that were sitting down started to panic and ran up to him."Uh... who are you?" he asked"I'm Mis-"I was cut by his friends. They literally shut my mouth. I kinda bit my tongue, which caused it to bleed. They pulled me to the corner of the room and started yelling at me."Calm down! Who are you guys? And why is Ash being so weird to me?" I shouted at them."Ash isn't himself anymore.""Yah. He had an accident." They both whispered."He might have known you before, but he lost part of his memory... he fell off of a small building damaging his memory." "HOW!" I yelled causing Ash to run over there."Do you know who I am, Ash?" I asked."Uh... no. But I feel so.. close to you. Like I've known you for years.." he told me."I'm Misty Waterflower! Your Best Friend!" I cried as tears stared running down my face.I fell to the ground bursting in tears as Ash tried to comfort me. As usual, he picked me up and wiped my tears.. like the Ash I knew before... I kept trying to remind him of his past until it finally struck him. He sat down and told us he had the worst headache. A couple seconds later, he looked up at me."M-Misty?...MISTY!!" he yelled. He jumped up and burst into tears. He told me about the Blunette.. I guess her name was Dawn and she cheated on him weeks ago. He looked up at me and smiled. I kinda blushed as he stared at me. He then looked at his friends and said " We're staying for the night!"He grabbed my hand and brought me to the room. It had two bunk beds, but I don't think that was what Ash was planning on doing. He told me to put my stuff down so we could talk outside. We both went outside to the rose garden. It was kinda romantic actually. He leaned against the wall and slipped his hands in his pockets. He looked really cute as he looked at me dead in the eyes. I didn't know what he was doing, but he looked nervous."Hey Mist... What is a relationship to you?" he asked "Uh. Well I think it's about commitment and love to your mate.""Really? That's exactly how I would have described it!" he said with a soft voice. It was kinda weird to hear Ash with a voice like that. Usually he has an annoying voice, but this time, he had the softest voice I've heard from him.   I turned around for a second to wipe off drops of water from the water fountain. And I noticed that he was closer to me than before. A LOT closer. I felt his warm hand touch my fingertip. I started to panic. His hand was holding mine by the time I looked down to see if I was going crazy. "Ash? What are you doing?" I asked as my voice trembled."Mist.. I've been thinking... well.. before I lost my memory.. about that day when you came to my house with those chocolates inside the Pokeball..." he started telling me."Misty... I want to be with you..." he told me."B-but.. i'm your best friend, I'm always with you." I said even though I knew what he meant. He giggled at me and smiled."I'll show you what I mean..." he whispered in my earHe took both of my hands and leaned in towards me.. I panicked, but... I leaned in too.   He pulled back smiled at me. I kissed him one more time... and I knew it was a new beginning..We had finally found the one... I found him... and he found.. me..Pokeshipping EpilogueAsh and Misty are happily married and will always be together... Dawn and her boyfriend Paul are now engaged and live happy lives... Ash forgave Dawn and is now good friends with Dawn and Paul...
