Competition [Part 2]

Ash let me stay the night just so I could ask him all about Unova. He told me about his crazy adventures with Iris and Cilan...  Ha! Some of them were pretty funny. Iris ignored me the whole time though. She was telling everyone stories about her life without me involved... but... who cares. The more she talked to May and everyone else, the more I got to spend time with Ash. 
"So Mist, how's your life as a Gym Leader?" Ash asked me.
"Oh.. that... It kinda sucks. It's not as fun as traveling with you." 
"Well.. maybe you can come back with me to Unova! With Iris and Cilan!"
"Oh. well I think my sisters would be mad at me." I lied
"Ask them! I'm sure they wouldn't mind.." he told me
"Lets go into my room.. I want to show you something..." 

He grabbed my hand and took me to his room with a bunk bed and many of his prizes he won at previous tournaments on his shelf. He went over to his prizes and talked about how he won them. Once he was done, he grabbed a little box about the size of my hand and opened it. It had many little badges that he won in Kanto. And under all of those badges, there was a small little handkerchief with a big red circle in the middle and yellow sharp strips... kinda like a red sun. Right away I knew what that little handkerchief was.
 

"Ash... you kept my handkerchief all this time?" I asked him in shock
"Uh... yeah! Its really important to me.. It's like my lucky charm when I go on my journeys.."

I started blushing a little... knowing that he kept it all this time. But I guess my luck ran out. Iris was listening to our conversation. She threw open the door right away... breaking our awkward silence between each other. She looked at me with a fake smile.. but Ash is so blind that he couldn't even see Iris if she backhanded me. 

"Uh Ash, could I talk to you alone please?" Iris asked Ash.
"Uh.. y-yeah sure.. Mist, do you mind?" 
"Sure.. I guess" I said with with a fake smile.

I walked out of the room tightening my fist. I wanted to punch her so bad! But... I can't..
I tried listening to their conversation.. but all I could hear were the two of them giggling. 
Ugh.. you don't know how much I want to slap her right now. But I have to stay nice for Ash.
 As he walks out of the room. I see Iris look at me and she waves at me sarcastically.  
I go back in Ash's room and look around for my bag. When I found it, I got out my journal and wrote:

• New plan.. Drive Iris crazy...

"Hey Mist, what are you doing?'' Ash asks as he walks in

"Uh.. I w-was just writing in my j-journal." 

"Oh.. so do you wanna like.. hang out tomorrow?  I haven't seen you in forever. So it would kinda be nice to hang out.." He says

"Oh.. uh y-yeah! Of course! Is it just m-me and you?''

"Y-yeah... kinda..." He says while clenching his fist.

It was kinda awkward to hear him ask me that. Especially when he said it was just him and I.

I hope Iris didn't hear about this.. she'll freak out and ruin our day together. 

Oh.. too late.. I saw her pink shoes under the door. And right away, I knew she was gonna mess it up.
