Taken (PokeshippingV. Part 2)

Well, it took me about 3 hours to get back to Misty's place. On my way there, I couldn't help but to realize that I never gave her a gift. Oh carp! I looked in my review mirror and saw her present sitting in the back seat. At least I know I can give it to her when I get to the Gym. I made my way back eagerly trying to make it on time. When I got there, I ran out, got her present, and walked up to the door. I was still reconsidering my gift. It was really small, it wasn't that much, but it was expensive.
My heart started to pound as the door opened. Why the hell am I freaking out? As the door opened, I realized it wasn't Misty; it was Daisy.
"Uh... Hi. Is Misty still here?"
"Yeah. I think she's like... In her room or something." she said
I talked with Misty's older sister for about 2 minutes. I have no Idea why, but I did. After all the talk, I walked upstairs to the bedrooms. My heart was pounding more than ever. I had no earthly idea why I was even that nervous. She's my Best Friend, not my worst enemy. Okay, it's just because of my gift. It's expensive and I don't want her to yell at me for getting her a crappy gift. I made it to the door, there was complete silence inside.
Until I heard Misty and Dawn's voice.
"I think Ash needs to reconsider his job."
"Misty, he needs money. Being a Pokemon Trainer won't do that anymore..."
"I know, but at least have time for your friends."
"I think he loves what he does."
"Yeah, well I don't see the passion in him."
"What?"
"Well, when he got his call at my party, he looked pissed and irritated."
"Simply because he wasn't able to stay. Everyone gets irritated with their jobs sometimes."
"That's bull crap..."
I started to feel even more and more bad. I wanted to walk away after I heard that, but I wanted to show her how much I cared for her. So I knocked on the door.
"Come in..."
I slowly opened the door showing my pale face to them. I tried faking a smile, but that didn't work. I didn't show any emotions; I wasn't sad, irritated, etc. Just... strait faced.
"H-Hi..."
"Oh... Hi, Ash." she mumbled
"I just wanted to give you your present."
"Oh! Thank you, Ash." she said
There was an awkward silence.
"You heard. Didn't you?"
"Yeah... Kinda. But I respect it; I know my job gets in the way." I stated
She nodded and looked down. So I tried to cheer her up.
"Hey, come on. I have a cupcake for you..." I said trying to seduce her
"Haha! Okay."
"Oh. Misty, I got a text from my mom. I need to go." Dawn interrupted
"Okay, make sure your mom says yes about the trip!"
"What?"
"Oh... Nothing you need to know."
"Girl talk?"
"I guess you can call it that... I'll tell you later."
We walked into the kitchen just having small talk. Kinda like 'How was the party' etc...
When we said goodbye to Dawn, I took the cupcake and put a birthday candle on top of it. I sat it down on the table and lit the candle with a lighter. My heart immediately  stopped pounding. The whole moment made me feel like I was younger. A Pokemon Trainer. The oblivious to love kind of kid that always trained. The good old days...
"Make a wish, Misty."
"Okay..." she said with a soft voice
She slowly closed her eyes and pondered. After she made her decision, she slowly inhaled and blew out the candle.
"What was your wish?"
"Can't tell you." she said while scooping frosting off the cupcake with her finger.
I smiled. "Oh really?"
''*Laughs* Yeah."
"Fine." I said trying to make her laugh, "So you wan't your present?"
"YES!!!"
I grabbed the small box out of my jacket pocket and put it in her hands. She smiled when she saw the words "KAY Jewelers" on it. She opened the box and saw a Topaz Sea Star necklace inside. She looked at me and gave me the biggest smile. I was relieved. Phew... She actually likes it. I looked back in response with a reassuring smile, that made her think twice about what she had said earlier.
She gave me a big hug. I couldn't help but notice how much taller I was than her. I could put my chin on the top of her head if I wanted to. I remember when she was taller than me.
Hah! Looks like I grew while you shrunk.
"Thank you, Ash." she said interrupting my thought
"You're welcome..."
There was a moment of silence between us. All we did was just look at each other. It kinda got me nervous, but Misty broke the silence before I could.
"Ash, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I got plane tickets to Italy as one of my presents and-"
"What!?"
"What's wrong?"
"You're going to Italy?"

My heart started to pound again. This time, ten times harder.
"Yeah, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come with me."
"Oh... Uh. Yeah! Sure!"
"It's gonna super fun! Especially for you, Pikachu. I heard they have a Pokemon Spa there." she said while rubbing Pikachu's head.
I was relieved that she asked me to go with her. Not because I've always wanted to go, but because I'd hate to see anything happen to her.
At least I'll be there to make sure she's okay... I just hope there are no stupid ass cases I have to do while I'm there...
"Is that what you wanted to tell Dawn's mom about?"
"Yeah, I wanted Dawn to go if you didn't."
"Oh... Why do you think I wouldn't go?"
"Your job..."
"Oh yeah." I murmured, "I should go now... I need to get some stuff to get done in the morning..."
"Oh. Okay. I guess I'll see you later than."
"Y-Yeah."
I talked with her for another minute and then finally said goodbye. I felt...Weird. I don't know why, but I just did. There was a nerve in my side that aggravated me all day, and it was getting worse. It was the feeling of being nervous that made it so painful. Something was telling me that my job was gonna screw everything up again; I did NOT want that to happen. So I called my boss.
"Hello?"
"It's Ash Ketchum; I need to talk to Mr. Kōtetsu."
"Right away, sir."
I waited...
"Nandesuka? (What?)"
"Anata wa, watashi ni sensei ga yasumi o ataeru koto ga dekimasu ka?(Can you give me a week off, sir?)"
"Uwa... Watashi wa sō wa omoimasen... Kore wa, nani ga okoru ka ni izon shimasu. Wareware wa jūyōna kēsu o tsukatte iru nodeareba, watashitachi wa watashitachi to sore ni torikumu tame ni, dekirudakehayaku Unova ni iku koto ga hitsuyō ni narudeshou. (Ugh... I don't think so... It depends on what happens. If we're on an important case, we'll need you to go to Unova as soon as possible to work on it with us.)"
I hung up feeling worse than ever. Oh no... I NEED to go with her. Or she'll think that my job is more important than she is. I CAN'T have her think that...

Mr. Kōtetsu is my boss. He knows English, but to keep his identity, he speaks Japanese.  He does everything and anything he can to solve a case. He might seem older, but he's really not. He's 27. He's more like my friend than my boss. He's crazy, dramatic, funny, and he doesn't treat us bad like any other bitchy boss would. And he gets drunk... A LOT. He just has a lot of problems. Sometimes, I have no idea why he even got hired, but I probably would have been pissed if they fired him. So I don't think like that...

Here's a tip...
Don't get close to him if he has a gun.
He loves shooting his revolver.
And when he get's the chance, he'll take it.
I gotta break it to you, he is an AWESOME shooter though.
He can shoot anything at any range. He taught me everything he knew.
Maybe that's why he was hired...

He's been really serious lately...
I think it's because there's been lots of shootings. And they're all involved in two gangs; Team Magma and Team Aqua. 95% of them were homicides, while 5% of them were suicides. Even the suicides were Aqua and Magma members. We think it's because of the constant bickering between the two groups, but we need to go under cover if we're gonna get the truth.
Jesus. A lot of crap's going on... I just hope nothings going on in this week that I'm with Misty...
